| Units from Gamber assisted Westminster Volunteer Fire Department yesterday, August 12, on an apartment building fire. Apparatus and staff from numerous Carroll County departments also assisted.The incident was located at 27 E. Main Street in the Rosenstock Apartments. This location was across the street from the library and also had access from the municipal parking lot to the rear of the building.
Engine 131 and Engine 134 were alerted, on the fire task force, for a fire on the roof of a mixed-use building at 27 E Main Street in Westminster. Engine 131's crew was tasked with helping evacuate the building and Engine 134's crew was tasked with assisting with ventilation on the 2nd Floor. Units operated for approximately 45 minutes.
The cause of the fire was a propane torch in use on the roof for repairs. See attached link for further details:
