Gamber & Community Fire Company junior firefighter, Ricky Carney, completed his Eagle Scout project in August 2024. He passed his Board of Review in November. He is a member of Troop 735 based out of Finksburg at Calvary United Methodist Church. He also holds the leadership position of Troop Guide.

Ricky has been a member of the Junior Fire Company for about one year and he assists at bingo each week.

Ricky’s project saw the construction of three bridges for one of the dog walking trails at the Baltimore Humane Society. The project was funded by donations from friends, family, and neighbors and he was assisted by a team of fellow scouts including his cousin Zac, adult leaders, his parents, his uncle, his older brother, and twin sister.

Ricky is in the 8th grade at West Middle School. He is also a member of the robotics team Robo-Lions and plays basketball for Central Carroll Rec and flag football in Westminster.
