Gamber Responds to 3 Alarm Commercial Fire in Reisterstown

Units from Gamber & Community Fire Co. were called to assist on a 3 alarm commercial fire in Reisterstown, Baltimore County. The fire was in an Advance Auto Parts store in the 11900 block of Reisterstown Road. Baltimore County Fire Department reported that the initial call was received at 9:41 pm.

Gamber units were dispatched at approximately 9:50 and eventually responded with Engines 131 and 134 as well as Medic 139. Crews on the engines assisted with extinguishment. The medic unit staged to assist as needed.

One Baltimore County firefighter was injured in a partial ceiling collapse. The collapse prompted a mayday call. Other crew members were able to safely remove the injured firefighter from the scene and he was able to walk out under his own power. He was treated and released from the hospital.

The fire has since been determined to be arson. A man is in custody for allegedly setting the fire.

Gamber units remained on the scene all evening and returned to the station around 1:30 am.
