Three patients from a motor vehicle collision on Green Mill Rd. were flown by State Police helicopters on Friday afternoon, August 14, 2009. Units from Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Co. handled the collision and rescue with assistance from Gamber's Engine 131.
The landing site at Sandymount Elementary School was assigned to Engine 134 from Gamber. Ambulances from Reese, Gamber, Hampstead, and Westminster treated and transported the four injured persons. Westminster's ambulance transported one patient to Carroll Hospital Center and three were flown to University Hospital Shock Trauma in Baltimore. Units cleared after 4:00 pm.
