We Will Remember
Support Our Troops
GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN

By Firefighter/EMT Tyler Joyave
September 28, 2009

It was one year ago today, on September 28th 2008 that M.S.P. Trooper 2 fatally crashed. The crew of Trooper 2 consisted of Flight Paramedic Mickey C. Lippy, Pilot Steve Bunker, EMT Tanya Mallard, Ashley Younger, and Jordan Wells. The only survivor of this horrible crash was Jordan Wells.

This was the deadliest crash in the 47 year history of the Maryland State Police Aviation Unit. Mickey worked here at Gamber as a Part-time Paramedic and Engineer, and was one of the nicest guys you would ever meet. He was a loving father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. On this day a year later, we the members of the Gamber and Community Fire Company have not forgotten our true friend Mickey, nor have we forgotten the rest of the Trooper 2 crew.
